Armchair tenants are tenants of the Moray Council who wish to be consulted on the services they receive from the council.
These services would include:
- Rent Setting
- Repairs and Maintenance of their property
- Upgrading of kitchens and bathrooms
- External property maintenance
- Estate Management
- Tenant Participation
- Anti Social Behaviour to name a few.
Armchair Tenants can be consulted on all subjects or only on those subjects they request. They can also attend their local forum meeting and express their views and opinions on the consultation to the committee as well as directly to the council.
Armchair tenants will be kept up to date and informed by this site where a monthly newsletter will be published, by letter to their home, or through their local Tenants Forum, whichever they prefer.
Any tenant can be an Armchair Tenant. To be an Armchair Tenant the tenant must register with the Moray Council. To register as an Armchair Tenant please contact Steven Christie, Chairperson of the Moray Tenants Core Group on 01343-540524 or Iain Terry or Tina Ash on 01343-543451.
